Anita (Harwood) Jennings, 70, of 54 Mill Street Williamstown, MA died on Thursday January 8, 2015 at her home.
She was born on December 30, 1944 in North Adams, MA a daughter of the late Oliff and Blanche (Coppersmith) Harwood. She graduated from Williamstown High School. She was last employed for more than 25 years as a cafeteria worker in the Williamstown Elementary School. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching football and the New England Patriots football.
She married her husband, William Calvin Jennings on May 8, 1965 and he died on August 18, 2008. Survivors include her two daughters, Tammy A. Jennings of Williamstown and Tracy A. Peterson and son-in-law, Justin Sr. of Auburn, GA as well as two sons, William C. Jennings and his wife, Tammy L. Jennings of Williamstown and Walter C. Jennings and his companion, Shaunna Porter of Pittsfield. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and three brothers, Austin, Harry and Leonard Harwood. She was predeceased by a sister Geraldine Kornn and two brothers Frederick and Moses Harwood
FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral to celebrate the life of Anita Jennings will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 1p.m. in the at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home –WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be on Tuesday at noon until the time of the funeral. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA.
