SAMUEL FRANCIS VINCE JR., 81 of 717 Henderson Rd. Williamstown, MA died Sunday June 7, 2015 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by his family.
He was born in Williamstown, MA on April 25, 1934 son of Samuel F. and Emma (Rondeau) Vince. He attended Williamstown Schools.
Sam was last employed by the Town of Williamstown as its Wire Inspector for 19 years until his retirement in 2015. Prior to that, he worked as a licensed master electrician with Greylock Electric and several other contractors for 40 years. He was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Sam especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn (Nutting) Vince whom he married on June 30, 1956; one daughter- Kimberly A. Cyr and her husband, Daniel of North Adams and one son- Christopher F. Vince and his fiancée, Kellee Aubin of North Adams.
He also leaves four grandchildren including Gregory, Douglas, Alyssa, and Amaya; and three great grandchildren including Ryleigh, Carter, and Sierra; one sister, Priscilla Ricker and her husband, David of Athens, TN; and two nieces, Linda and Debbie in Tennnessee.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Sam Vince Jr. will be celebrated Monday June 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
