Wayne Leroy Andrews Sr. 77, of North Adams, MA; died Monday July 4, 2016 at the Vermont Veterans' Home surrounded by his loving family He was born in Pittsfield on May 17, 1939 a son of the late Oren and Phyllis (Jordan) Andrews. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Sierra and USS Suffolk County. Wayne was employed for the Town of Lanesboro in the 1980's and was employed as the supervisor of the maintenance department at Highland Lakes in Leesburg, Florida. He loved spending time with family and friends and fishing. Wayne was a member of the Williamstown American Legion and the D.A.V. Survivors include his wife Bonnie (Mikna) Andrews whom he married March 5, 1962. Two children Cynthia Cooper and her husband William Cooper Jr. of North Adams and Wayne Leroy Andrews Jr. of Leeds, MA . Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two sisters Merle Gray of Williamstown, Jacqueline Andrews of North Adams. Two brothers Ronald Andrews and Keith Andrews of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by a sister Jeanne Teti and two great grandchildren. Funeral Services will take place Friday at 3:30pm at the Flynn & Dagnoli- Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA; Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA .
