Madeline Mary (Martin) Demers, 90 of North Adams, MA died Sunday March 12, 2017 at home with family at her side.
She was born in Adams, MA on October 1, 1926, daughter of Dennis and Lillian (Sirard) Martin. She attended Adams schools and graduated from the Adams High School.
Madeline worked at the Arnold Print Works for many years and retired from Waverly Fabrics. She also worked as an EMT for the North Adams Ambulance Service and Crane and Company.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of its Rosary Society and Bowling league. She also loved the Boston Red Sox.
She was the widow of Charles H. Demers who died on November 12, 1985. They were married on October 12, 1943.
Survivors include two daughters- Patricia Demers and Barbara Gomeau of North Adams; and one son- Charles H. Demers Jr. and his wife, Susan of Hudson, NH. She also leaves four grandchildren- Sean Demers; Jennifer Murch and her husband, Jon; Jessica Mullen and her husband, Curtis; Beth Harris and her husband, Michael; and was predeceased by her granddaughter, Laura Gomeau who died on December 4, 2011; four great grandchildren- Olivia and Harrison Mullen, Tucker and Drew Murch; one sister- Gloria Gamache and her husband, Kenneth; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Madeline Demers will be celebrated Friday March 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.
