Obituary for Shawn John Kelly
Shawn John Kelly, 31, of North Adams, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born on March 15, 1986 in Tampa, FL a son of Kenneth John Kelly and Terry Ann Taber.
He graduated from Drury High School in 2004. During high school, he was employed at Nassif’s Professional Pharmacy. He went on to graduate from the License Practical Nursing program at McCann Technical School in 2009. At the time of his death, he was employed by IntegriNurse of Berkshire Health Systems. Shawn's compassionate and entertaining personality brought joy and comfort to his patients and co-workers.
He was an avid New England Patriots fan. Shawn never missed a game and was happiest watching TB12 or "Tawmy Brady" toss the ball to the end zone. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and being outdoors. He had a keen interest in sharks, and looked forward to the best time of the year – Shark Week. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Shawn will be forever remembered for his one-of-a-kind comical personality. He was the very best at making everyone he encountered laugh uncontrollably in every situation.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth Kelly and his wife, Deborah Harwood Kelly of North Adams; his mother Terry Taber of Tampa, FL; grandmothers Irene Kelly of Astoria, New York, Blanche Taber of Tampa, FL, and Phyllis Peterson of Williamstown; his sisters Heather Tooley of North Adams; Sheena Kelly and her fiancé, Erik Phillips of Cheshire; Kayla Tooley and her significant other, Seth Gaudreau of North Adams; Jamie Boucher and her husband, Collin of Clarksburg; his brother Cody Wemette of North Adams; as well as nieces Bryanna Costine, Hailie Haskins, and Holly Haskins, and a nephew Carson Kelly-Phillips. FUNERAL NOTICE: A service to celebrate the life of Shawn Kelly will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00am at the Windsor Lake Pavilion in North Adams.
