Angela M. Crowley, 96 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams, MA on November 12, 1920, daughter of John Francis and Elizabeth Amelia (Kling) Crowley. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School. Angela graduated from North Adams State College and received her Master's Degree from the University of Vermont. She later received an honorary doctorate from MCLA.
Angela was an elementary school teacher at the former Mark Hopkins School in North Adams for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and currently St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She was a member of the Friends of the North Adams Public Library and the Garden Club. Angela loved to travel and had travelled around the world. She also loved theater and enjoyed trips to New York City to see Broadway shows. She was a supporter of Tanglewood and also supported the local theater groups.
Survivors include two nieces- Rosalie Dunn of Stratford, CT and Catherine Rose of Albuquerque, NM. She also leaves her Godson, Robert White of Uxbridge, MA and several cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Dunn.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Angela Crowley will be celebrated Friday May 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
