Obituary for Marie Constance Luscia Matrigali (DeMayo)

Marie Constance (DeMayo) Luscia Matrigali, 90 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday May 30, 2017 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on April 17, 1927, daughter of Antonio and Consiglia Maria (Santoro) DeMeo. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1944.
Marie was first employed at the former General Cleaners and then worked at Sprague Electric Co. for several years. She then worked at the former First National Store on State Street. Marie was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
She was the widow of Paul Peter Matrigali who died on March 2, 2014. They were married on September 23, 1967 in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Her first husband was Edward Luscia who died on May 26, 1953. They were married on September 22, 1951.
Survivors include two sons- Edward J. Luscia and his wife, Barbara of Bennington, VT and Daniel A. Matrigali and his fiancé, Ellen Wohrle of Adams; and one stepdaughter- Mary Ann George and her husband, Lawrence of North Adams. She also leaves seven grandchildren including Christopher Luscia, Shannon Luscia, Macaul Zuk, Arizona Matrigali, Noah Matrigali, Brice George and Kyle George and seven great grandchildren including Emily, Jack, Chase, Paul, Grace, Liam and Sophia; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and one sister including Angela Marlow, Vincent DeMayo, Mario DiMeo, and Natalino DiMeo.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marie Matrigali will be celebrated Saturday June 3, 2017 at 9:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the James Rotolo Memorial Scholarship Fund or to the Epilepsy of Vt.
