Obituary for Kenneth Lee Enos
Kenneth Lee Enos, 74 of Cheshire, MA died Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Williamstown Commons after a tough battle with cancer.
He was born in Norwalk, CT on March 27, 1943, son of the late Vincent Ken and Dorothy Alberta (Foster) Enos. He attended schools in Norwalk.
Ken served in the US Navy aboard the USS Allen M. Sumner from 1962-1966 during the Vietnam era where he was honored with the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Ken was a member of the American Legion and volunteered in several community outreach programs. He was employed by the Town of Brattleboro, Vermont for almost 30 years until his retirement. He especially enjoyed boating, fishing, the outdoors, nature, and spontaneous travel adventures to China, Alaska, Hawaii, Iceland, Nova Scotia and anywhere in the U.S. his GPS would bring him. May there be a Denny’s in heaven.
Ken never met a person he didn’t like and all that knew him considered him a kind and gentle man with a soft heart the size of Texas (oh yeah, he’s been there too!).
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Jillson) Enos whom he married on June 15, 2002; and two daughters- Kellee Enos of Raleigh, NC and Lorin Young of Brattleboro, VT. He also leaves two stepchildren- Sean Anderson of Longmeadow, MA and Shannon Anderson of Feeding Hills, MA; one granddaughter- Miranda McLoughlin of Brattleboro, VT; four step grandchildren- Olivia, Molly, Chloe and Brinn Anderson; one sister- Evelyn Neff of Bethel, CT and several nieces and nephews.
