Obituary for Leo William Senecal

LEO WILLIAM SENECAL, 70, former Director of Public Works for the City of North Adams, of Woodlawn Avenue North Adams, MA died Monday, June 26, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in North Adams, MA on March 3, 1947, a son of Leo E. and Doris (Richard) Senecal. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1965. He was a longtime member of the MA National Guard stationed out of Ft. Dix. Leo was the former Director of Public Works in the city. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
His wife was Margaret (Lyden) Senecal who died on February 28, 2016. They were married on July 8, 1972. Survivors include his two sisters, Velma Prevey and Claire Senecal both of North Adams; two sisters-in-law, Linda Wnuk and Beth Lyden-Fortier both of Adams and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Leo Senecal will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday June 30, 2017 at Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to PopCares through the funeral home.
