Sarah Leona (Jones) Randall Lowry, 90 of North Adams, MA died Monday July 24, 2017 at North Adams Commons.
She was born in Great Barrington, MA on October 15, 1926, daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Force) Jones. She attended schools in Great Barrington and also Drury High School in North Adams.
Sarah was last employed as the animal control officer for the city of North Adams and the town of Adams until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Adams. Sarah was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed needlepoint and sewing.
She was the widow of Leland S. Lowry who died on May 4, 2004. They were married on March 30, 1963. Survivors include one daughter- Susan A. Sobon and her husband, Peter of Adams; and three sons- Allen R. Randall and his wife, Gloria of Lake City, FL; Stanley D. Randall and his wife, Robin of Lunenberg, MA and Timothy Randall of North Adams. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Two sons are deceased including Thurman "Bud" Randall who died in 1998 and Howard "Rick" Randall who died in 2007. Her grandson, Robert Randall died January 10, 2017 and two sisters are deceased including Gwendolyn Bushika and Elizabeth Bushika.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Sarah Lowry will be Thursday July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Bellevue cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday morning from 9-11 AM.
