Gloria C. (Fresia) Chiachiaretto, 92, of Dalton, passed away peacefully July 27 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Pittsfield Massachusetts, the daughter of Josephine Dellea and Giovanni Fresia. Two brothers, Armand Fresia of Naples, FL and John Fresia of Milton, VT, predeceased her. Gloria attended Pittsfield High School, and was married for 44 years to the late Anthony V. Chiachiaretto. Gloria worked for many years for the former Berkshire Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1986. Gloria was also a well known singing performing artist in and around Western Massachusetts. A trained singer with a four octave range, Gloria performed locally in numerous musical stage revues and recitals. Her hobbies included entertaining at home, theater, wine making and attending Berkshire-area cultural events. She leaves a daughter, Janice Chiaretto, and her husband, Mark Edmonds, both of Sturbridge.
