Henri Paul Lapointe, 64, of North Adams, MA died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in North Adams, MA on May 16, 1953 a son to the late Henri Rolland and Marguerite (Jodoin) Lapointe. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School with the class of 1972. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1976 to 1980.
Mr. Lapointe was a heavy equipment operator for Wm J Keller & Sons Construction. He was a member of the IUOE Local #98. Before that he worked at Adams Trucking and Mohawk Auto Wrecking. He was a member of the North Adams Elks, Eagles and Shriners. Henri enjoyed fishing and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Jill Marie (Bullett) Lapointe who he married on November 6, 1978. He also leaves 3 daughters Jes Levesque of Cheshire, MA, Michaela Moore of North Adams Ma., Shannan Lapointe of North Adams and one son, William Lapointe of North Adams, MA. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Braidee Greene, Cairagan Greene, Cheyenne Ritcher, John Henri Moore, Isabella Moore, Madison Walker, Mackenzie Walker and Lucas Lapointe and 6 sisters, Lillian Lapointe, Marianne Lapointe, Marthe Lapointe, Emilia Lapointe, Denise Sidoti and Gisele Torchia, 3 brothers Michael, Raymond and Ronald Lapointe and many nieces and nephews. A brother Francis Lapointe is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Henri Lapointe will be celebrated on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals – WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours are Friday morning from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery at a later date.
