Obituary for Doris Aline Cote (Lesage)

Doris Aline (Lesage) Cote, 98 of North Adams, MA died Thursday August 10, 2017 at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on October 18, 1918, daughter of Alfred and Diana (Martel) Lesage. She attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School and completed its commercial course.
Doris was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked part-time to support her family at the Boston Store, JJ Newberry, Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. and Pop's Variety Store.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church where she was an active volunteer. She also volunteered as a Gray Lady at North Adams Regional Hospital. Doris enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and bowling at Valley Park Bowling Lanes.
She was the widow of Albanie Cote who died in 1963.
Survivors include one daughter- Nancy Crouse and her husband, Wallace of Cheshire and two sons- William A. Cote and his wife, Jacqueline of Adams and Paul O. Cote and his wife, Carole of South Yarmouth, MA. She also leaves her daughter in law- Mary (Kiely) Cote of North Adams; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren; and one brother- George LeSage of North Adams and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her son, Ernest G. Cote on March 20, 1993. Two stepsons Roger Cote and Normand Cote are deceased and two grandchildren, Cheryl Cote and John A. Cote are also deceased. Three sisters and one brother are deceased including Helen Bedard, Irene Remillard and Claire Trombley and William Lesage.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Doris Cote will be celebrated Monday August 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Sunday from 2-4 PM.
