Obituary for Mary Alice Boisvert (Stockwell)

Mary Alice (Stockwell) Boisvert, 96, of North Adams died on Wednesday August 31, 2017 at North Adams Commons. She was born on February 2, 1921 in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, a daughter of Frank & Eva Harris Stockwell.
Mary attended schools in North Adams, graduating from Drury High School. She attended college in Springfield and received her master’s degree in Library Science. She was a librarian at North Adams Public Library for many years. She was also a librarian for the city of North Adams public schools.
Mary was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams. She was an avid golfer at Taconic Golf Club, a bridge player with the Harper Center Bridge Group, an avid Boston Red Sox fan and she also enjoyed walking.
Mary married Charles E. Boisvert on May 31, 1943. He died on August 9, 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Adamczyk and her husband, Stanley of Southboro, MA and two sons, Bruce Boisvert and his wife Sandie, of Stamford, Vermont and Clark Boisvert and his wife, Tania of Bennington, Vermont. Mary also leaves 7 grandchildren, Scott Boisvert, Becky DiCaprio, Sara Boisvert, Jeffrey Boisvert, Patrick Boisvert, John Adamczyk and Amy Adamczyk. Mary also leaves 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, especially David Stockwell. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Al Stockwell, Norman Stockwell, Dorothy Amato and Marjorie Pead.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Mary Boisvert will be Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
