Giuseppe Mario "Joe" Greco, 87 of North Adams, MA died peacefully on Saturday morning December 2, 2017 at North Adams Commons.
He was born in Mendicino, Calabria, Italy on November 11, 1930, son of Luigi and Angelia Conchetta (Trombino) Greco. Joe came to the United States in 1955 and lived in Racine, WI and New York City. He came to North Adams in 1963.
Joe was last employed by the Berkshire County Commission where he worked as a custodian at the Berkshire County Courthouse in Pittsfield until his retirement. Before that, he worked at Arnold Print Works for several years. Joe also owned and operated Greco Pizzeria in North Adams for about six years.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church where he served as an usher. Joe was a member of the Sons of Italy and enjoyed mushrooming. Survivors include one sister- Ide Greco of Mendicino, Italy. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins including his caregivers Edward and Joan Morandi of North Adams. He was predeceased by two sisters including his twin, Elvia and Concetta.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Joe Greco will be celebrated Tuesday December 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
