Obituary for Nancy Marie Lamb (Fortin)

Nancy Marie (Fortin) Lamb, 70, of Williamstown, MA died on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, MA. She was born in North Adams, MA on August 31, 1947 a daughter of the late Leonard Gerald and Harriett Grace (Van Sleet) Fortin.
Mrs. Lamb attended Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, graduating with the class of 1965. She went on to work at the Advocate Newspaper in Williamstown, and was last employed at Storey Communications, now Storey Publishing.
Mrs. Lamb loved gardening in her beautiful backyard, baking, refurbishing treasured goods, spending time with her family and friends, and living by the motto that laughter was truly the world’s best medicine. Above all, she loved being Nana to her 5 grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Victor “Kip” Franklin Lamb, whom she married on August 20, 1966 at St. Patrick’s Church in Williamstown. She also leaves her daughter Christine Marie Paz and her husband, Mike of Colorado; son Michael Todd Lamb, and Tricia Lee of Florida; grandchildren Dylan Paz, Aaron, Tyler, Joshua, and Andrew Lamb; brother Leonard “Butch” Fortin Jr. and his wife, Ruth of North Adams; sisters Beverly Teillon and her husband, Brenton of Morrisville, VT; and Maryann Gillooly and her husband, Bill of New Marlborough, MA; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
FUNEAL NOTICE: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Nancy Lamb will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes, WEST Chapel - 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
