MARIE (ESPOSITO) MOON, 79 of North Adams, MA died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Craneville Place after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born in North Adams, MA on August 30, 1938 a daughter of Frank Esposito and Anita (Leonesio) Esposito Milesi. She attended schools in North Adams, graduating from Drury High School with the class of 1956. She was employed at Williams College and was a happy presence while working at Aldo’s Paint and Wallpaper for many years.
Marie was an active communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams, volunteering for many years at the church bazaar. She maintained a lively lifestyle throughout her life. She was a ski instructor, enjoyed walking and biking and had a passion for line dancing. Marie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered by her infectious smile.
Survivors include her loving daughters, who took especially good care of her, Melissa Moon of North Adams and Michelle Penna and her husband, Mike of Versailles, KY, and two grandchildren, Mia and Cameron; and her husband, Ronald Moon. She also leaves her three brothers, Peter F. Esposito and Francis W. Esposito both of North Adams, and John A. “Jack” Esposito of Rye, NH. She was pre-deceased by a brother, S. Donald “Pesco” Esposito who died January 14, 2011.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Marie Moon will be Tuesday January 23, 2018 at 11a.m.in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7p.m. at the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA .
