Obituary for Lucille Janet Levanos (Jordan)

Lucille Levanos of Clarksburg, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday February 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was born Lucille Janet Jordan on January 28, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Alexander & Helen (Lefave) Jordan of Clarksburg. As a young girl she and her family moved to North Adams, where Lucille attended school, graduating in 1948 from St. Joseph High School where she was a cheerleader and head of the debate team. In 1949 she married John Levanos and together they began a journey that would last for the next 67 years.
From the mid 1960’s to the early 1970’s Lucille was the owner of Mia’s Specialty Shoppe on Eagle Street in North Adams. Later she joined her husband at his business Jack’s Hot Dog stand where she remained until her retirement.
Lucille was predeceased by her husband, John who passed in 2016. Also by three sisters, Beatrice Jordan, Doris Davis and Edith Ledger and by one brother Robert Jordan. Survivors include two children, Maria Levanos Carmain and her husband Steve of North Adams and Jeff Levanos and his wife Marylou of Clarksburg. She also leaves three grandchildren, Jeff Zocchi and his wife Dianna of Cheshire, Daniel Zocchi and his fiancé Amber Sherman of Clarksburg and Joseph Levanos of Clarksburg; as well as three great grandchildren, Carmine Zocchi, Alaina Zocchi and Alex Zocchi and her beloved nephew Richard Lewis and his wife Andre of Maryland.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At the request of Lucille there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Church in North Adams followed by burial in Southview Cemetery.
