Condolence: My condolences to the family. I worked with Dick at Williams Athletics many years before he retired. He was always kind and a hard worker. Our favorite saying to him was 'don't worry ... be happy' - we even had a shirt made for him which hung in the equipment room for years. He was a good man and will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Family; So very sorry to hear of Dickie's passing. Many friends & families shared years of friendships & gatherings (30 years of Pig Roasts at my sister Leslie's & George's) with him. He was a kind, soft spoken man who will be sadly missed. We are thankful to have known him & to have shared just a small bit of his life. Gone much too soon he'll live forever in our hearts.💕May you treasure your loving memories & may your blessings bring you Peace.💕 Gail Ware Deery & Family

Condolence From: Pete King
Condolence: Dear Diana and Family, My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Just last October, our 1967 Mountie Championship football team celebrated the 50 year anniversary for winning that league title. Much of that season at that event was re-lived, and Dick (rightfully so) received many accolades. He was the heart and soul of our offense. Having played many sports with Dick growing up, it was always an honor to have him as a teammate. He was a gentle giant! Always humble, and not a mean bone in his body. Dick was one of the greatest football players to ever wear the Mountie Red & White. May all of the love for Dick provide each of you much comfort for a long, long time. You are missed, Pete King

Condolence: Whitey, Melissa, Dustin and family, So crushed to hear this most difficult news. My sincerest condolences to you all. Dickie was like family to me. Like my big brother. (Not a bad guy to have on your side!) Almost 30 years working together...so many memories, so many stories! Yes...a quiet, private, soft spoken man...a big teddy bear. Yet you made certain to try to never see that other side of him! Not with "The Rock"! Will miss him greatly! Richard, I know there's some big fish up there waiting for you..."Fish On" my friend!
