Obituary for Joan Lorraine Lesure (Crosier)

Joan Lorraine (Crosier) Lesure, of Clarksburg, MA died Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Brockton, MA on October 7, 1931 daughter of Frederick and Viola (Favreau) Crosier. She attended the Notre Dame Parochial School and graduated from Drury High School. Joan also graduated from Bliss Business College.
She was first employed by Hunter Machine Co, but Joan was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Later in life, she worked in the lunch room at McCann Technical High School and then at WalMart until age 83.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Joan enjoyed sewing, puzzles and playing cards with friends. Joan was a den mother for Boy Scouts Pack #38 in Adams for many years.
She was the widow of Russell Henry Lesure who died on November 11, 2006. They were married on August 11, 1951.
Survivors include four daughters- Debra Kuzia and Judith Taylor and her husband, Marshall, both of Adams; Gail Lesure of Castleton, VT; and Barbara Lesure and her partner, Robert Francoeur of North Adams; and one son- Kevin Lesure and his wife, Jessica of Bowdoinham, ME. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother- Neal Crosier and his wife, Betty of North Adams; her sister in law- Anita Lesure of Adams and nieces and nephews. Her son David Lesure died in 1977. Her grandson- David Lesure Jr. died in 2016; her son in law- Jack Alexander died in 2016 and her brother, Marshall "Bud" Crosier is deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Joan Lesure will be celebrated Monday April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521West Main St. North Adams, MA are Sunday from 2-5 PM.
