Condolence: I was good friends with Rob at work and talked with him almost every day. We all know how intelligent he was, but he was also humble, soft spoken and caring, qualities that are not so easy to find in people. He always had a smile on his face and would lift my spirits when I was feeling down. I will miss our times together, but I believe he is now in a much better place. My deepest condolences go out to the entire Goodell family during this difficult time.

Condolence: My deepest condolences, thoughts & prayers are with the entire Goodell family during this most difficult time, to endure Rob's untimely passing. Although I knew him somewhat through work at General Dynamics, I knew him a bit better as a fellow volunteer firefighter. I appreciated Rob's upbeat outlook, his dedication to his family, Fire Department & community, and I enjoyed the various bits of fire department humor that he shared. At some point, I hope and trust that you will all find some measure of comfort in the memories and experiences you all shared with Rob in his life, well-lived.

Condolence: I worked with Rob for a few years. He was one of the nicest men I'll ever meet. He was always light-hearted. He could be counted on to make a witty remark that would make everyone chuckle. He was a joy to work with and will be sorely missed.

Condolence: My sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to Sheri (Gentes) Goodell, Morgan, Madison, Dylan, Linda Goodell, Aaron Goodell, Laura and Margaret O’dell. Although I didn't know Robert personally, I would often pass him in the hallways at General Dynamics. He always had a smile and a kind greeting-for that I will always remember him that way...We need more people like that...Bless his heart and his soul and may he rest peacefully in heaven!

Condolence: Very sorry to hear about Rob's passing. He was always smiling and quick with a joke. Sad to think that I just walked out of GD with Rob a few weeks ago...with our usual "see you tomorrow". He will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Goodell Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I did not know Rob very well but I believe I knew him well enough to know he was a very kind and good person. He treated all people fairly and with the utmost respect. I wish I could have known him better.
