I was good friends with Rob at work and talked with him almost every day. We all know how intelligent he was, but he was also humble, soft spoken and caring, qualities that are not so easy to find in people. He always had a smile on his face and would lift my spirits when I was feeling down. I will miss our times together, but I believe he is now in a much better place. My deepest condolences go out to the entire Goodell family during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences, thoughts & prayers are with the entire Goodell family during this most difficult time, to endure Rob's untimely passing. Although I knew him somewhat through work at General Dynamics, I knew him a bit better as a fellow volunteer firefighter. I appreciated Rob's upbeat outlook, his dedication to his family, Fire Department & community, and I enjoyed the various bits of fire department humor that he shared. Although I didn't know Robert personally, I would often pass him in the hallways at General Dynamics.
