Obituary for Rose M. Paduano (Mazzeo)
Rose M. Paduano, 88 of Pittsfield died peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017 surrounded by her family at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born, raised and educated in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of the late James and Maria Mazzeo. A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, she worked as a hairdresser for many years at Manuela’s Beauty Salon. A member of the Berkshire Medical Exercise facility for many years, she loved the staff and her special time exercising each week.
Rose was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. She had a passion for cooking, an avid reader, and a devotion to the Blessed Mother. Above all, spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys. A gracious, honest, and selfless woman, she was loved by everyone she met, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vincenzo; her three children, Loren and Patricia Paduano of Pittsfield, Allan Paduano and his wife Patricia of Haverhill, Robert and his wife, Melanie of Pittsfield, four grandchildren, Christopher Paduano, Ashley Paduano, Ryan Paduano and Aria Paduano. Rose was predeceased by her brother, Leo Mazzeo and survived by her brother, Nicholas Mazzeo of Penniscola, Florida.
Funeral Notice: Funeral Services will take place Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11:15 a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Noon at St. Joseph's Church, 414 North St., Pittsfield with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker C.S.S. officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
