Obituary for Ruth C. Iacuessa

Ruth C. (Hamer) Iacuessa formerly of 25 Saulnier Dr. Williamstown, MA, died Monday January 27,
2014 at the North Adams Commons. She was born in North Adams on August 6, 1920 a daughter of the late Albert and Maude ( Keating ) Hamer. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1939. She was employed at the New England Telephone Co. and was retired from the Alumni office at Williams College. Mrs. Iacuessa was a longtime volunteer at the Women's Exchange in Williamstown. Her husband Louis Steven Iacuessa, whom she married May, 29, 1943, died September 4, 2003. Ruth enjoyed reading, making silver jewelry and collecting antiques with her husband. Survivors include two sons Steven S. Iacuessa and his wife Judith, of Greenacres, Fl. and Mark A. Iacuessa and his wife Carlene, of Gill, MA. Ruth was most proud of her five grandchildren Mark L. Iacuessa, Michelle Ann Iacuessa, Teri-Lynn Moore and her husband Brian, Laura S. Iacuessa-Keramidas, and husband Peter, and Geoffrey M. Iacuessa and wife Kristie. Three great -grandchildren Katelynn Iacuessa, Amber Iacuessa, and Hudson Iacuessa, a nephew George D.
Hamer. She was predeceased by a brother George Hamer who died in 1942. Graveside services will take place at a later date in Eastlawn Cemetery, in Williamstown, MA.
