Condolence From:
Condolence: Dear Quattrochis, My brother Tom just gave my siblings and me a detailed report of the wake and funeral for your husband and father. I am sorry I could not have been there. I have nothing but fond memories of "Mr. Quattroch" whether it was "covering for me" when I would bring a wrecked car in to Pete's, playing golf at the CC of P, or getting a wave from him as he cruised in the 4th of July Parade. Even after I left Pittsfield he always showed a genuine interest in me and my family whenever I came home. The list of his civic contributions and accomplishments goes on and on and is most impressive indeed. But his dedication to church and family should get the most attention. He was a devoted leader of both. Tom mentioned that, among the myriad of other assignments, Bob was responsible for unlocking the doors at St. Mark's Church every morning and he had done so the day of his passing! I am firmly convinced that Bob Quattrochi has already approached St. Peter, offering to give him a day off if he ever wanted to take a break from opening the gates of Heaven. Because that's the kind of guy he was. Love, in abundance, Joe Farrell, III

Condolence: I was Bob's personal computer consultant for many years, he was such a wonderful man to work for, personable and brilliant. One of the many things about him that I will always remember is how much he loved to restore antique clocks to add to his clock collection, an amazing talent that is ever diminishing today. I miss Bob and I pray for comfort for his family's loss with a heavy heart.

Condolence: Dear Kay and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. A man of such commitment and so dedicated to doings things to improve the lives of others. We had some good laughs at the gym.(Especially when he was given that puppy and Bob would come to the gym with scratches all over his hands). He was involved in so many things but something that impressed me most was his devotion to his faith. We spoke about that on several occasions. We will miss his smiling face. Condolence From: W.Bill Knowles
Condolence: Bob was a dedicated man to his community. Each time I met him at a function, he was quick to extend a hand and a firm shake followed. No matter how busy he was, he would always take time to welcome every attendee. His face naturally presents a smile as he inquires about my personal events. I have watched him wade thru a crowd and pass along concerns for some folks misfortunes and congratulate others on blessings in there lives. He was a friend of many. I know there are thousands of people that have the honor of sharing this humble experience. Bob is part of our communities' achievements. His leadership will be missed by many organizations. His smile will be missed by everyone. In Loving Memory. W. Bill Knowles

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to the Quattrochi family - how hard it is to let go of someone so well loved. I am amazed to read the extent of Mr. Quattrochi's civic and community activities. I knew he was active, but the extent of his generosity was not clear to me. He represents the best that Pittsfield has to offer; a true giant of the Greatest Generation. Around the time a seat opened up on the city's licensing board in 2003, I happened to stop by the annual children's fishing tournament at Wild Acres. There I saw esteemed business leader Bob Quattrochi in a pounding rainstorm, trying to bait hooks with his new grandson who didn't yet speak much English but clearly loved spending time doing guy stuff with this loving grandfather. This encounter with the devoted family man reminded me that Mr. Quattrochi had signed a letter as Chair of Downtown, Inc. a few years earlier: he was in favor of bringing more restaurants and life to downtown Pittsfield by expanding the availability of liquor licenses in the City. So, I'm pleased to say, it was family first and politics second that led me to ask Mr. Quattrochi to join the licensing board. How lucky we are that he was willing to add this task to his long list of community service. My best love to Bob's family and friends. I know he will be remembered with love, gratitude and great good will.
