Obituary for Leonard Warren Keyes

Leonard W. Keyes, 101 of North Adams, MA passed away on January 27, 2018 at Sweetbrook Nursing Home after a short illness.
He was the son of the late Florence E. Chilson and Lewis C. Keyes of Worcester, MA. He attended Worcester schools and graduated from Westfield State College.
He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp in the South Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Keyes was the first person to teach drafting when McCann Vocational School opened in 1962 in North Adams, before it became computerized drafting, and is where he taught until his retirement. He was a past president of the Industrial Management Club.
Mr. Keyes' wife Delia pre-deceased him and he leaves his only child, Frederick Keyes and his wife, Barbara of Williamstown, MA; his grandson- Jeff Keyes and his wife, Sarah and great-granddaughter-Avery Delia Keyes of Braintree, MA; his granddaughter- Jodi Windover and her husband, Eric and his two great grandsons- Evan Prescott Windover and Nolan James Windover of Spencer, MA

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Leonard Keyes will be Wednesday January 31, 2018 at 7:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Burial will be Thursday February 1, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St. Worcester, MA.
