Obituary for Mae Virginia Canale (Courtemanche)

Mae Virginia (Courtemanche) Canale, 96 of North Adams, MA died Sunday April 22, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams, MA on July 31, 1921 daughter of Philiza and Rose (Perrault) Courtemanche. She attended the Notre Dame Parochial School and completed its Commercial Course.
Mae first worked at the former Hoosac Cotton Mill for about ten years. After her marriage, she devoted the rest of her life as a homemaker to her family. She was a communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church and Our Lady of Mercy Church and was a member of the Adult Society. She is a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Mae enjoyed reading and gardening.
She was the widow of James Edward Canale who died on September 4, 2004. They were married on October 11, 1941.
Survivors include her daughter Annette Rosalie Allen and her husband, Paul of North Adams and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mae Canale will be celebrated Friday April 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA is Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St. Elizabeth Church or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
