In addition to the furniture business, he was also involved in several civic organizations and served on corporate boards during his career.
His parents and his sister, Victoria, preceded Walter in death. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; by his children, Marisa Ronan and her husband, Terrence, of Hingham, MA, Marla Sigman of Andover, MA, and Marc Mularski and his wife, Catherine, of Pittsfield; his sister, Helen Mularski of Adams, MA; and his grandchildren Conor and Carter Ronan, Zachary, Caleb and Jayden Sigman, and Marc, Amanda and Angela Mularski.
