Obituary for Frederick Henry Perras

Frederick Henry Perras 78, of North Adams died Sunday May 27, 2018 at his home. He was born in North Adams on November 7, 1939 a son of the late Clement and Doris (Bailey) Perras and attended local schools. Frederick was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran serving for 21 years with the United States Air Force and obtaining the rank of Tech Sergeant. After his military career he was employed at Aldo's Wallpaper and Paint Store on Main St. in North Adams for many years. He was an accomplished locksmith. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of both the North Adams VFW and the Vietnam Veteran Firebase Trentino where he served as past president.
His wife Carol Ann (Healey) Perras whom he married April 17, 1958 died October 27, 2001. Survivors include three children Nanette Simoneau of Newport, NH. , Matthew Perras of Niceville, FL. and Nicolette Bump and her husband Bruce of North Adams. Ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. One sister Jacqueline Whalyn and his friend Ethel "Cookie" Davis of North Adams. He was predeceased by his son, Mitchell Perras on December 9, 2000 and two brothers Raymond and Theodore Perras.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Frederick Perras will take place Friday June 1, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Flynn & Dagnoli- Montagna Home for Funerals, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Burial will take place at a later date with full military honors in Southview Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested for the Wounded Warrior Fund through the funeral home.
