I knew RAK "Ken" for over 50 years. Attended Colby College he was sophomore I was freshman.
We rented adjacent apartments off campus at 13 Paris St, Waterville, Maine. Paris it wasn't.
We stole range oil from RAK to heat our apartment. When I got seasons tickets to Patriots in 1985, RAK came to first game. Told him to bring something hearty for tailgating; he brought "LENTIL SOUP" none of us ever had heard or it. All I can say is Lentils are very gassy, thanks RAK. He attended another game 3 years ago but I brought the food. Rest in peace KEN.

I worked with Ken, first at Shenanigans Restaurant in Hartford, before going to work for him at his catering company during the mid 80s in Hartford. What cherished memories I have of my time knowing him. Ken was a wonderful man, full of spark and wit. But beyond his pleasurable company, he was a man of great intelligence and grace. I will always remember my times with Ken with great warmth, and convey my condolences to his family.

Ken and I were classmates at St. Paul’s, but actually became better friends subsequently as we were both in the treacherous restaurant business in Hartford, Connecticut. That field can be loaded with puffed up, duplicitous egos and so watching Ken operate was just so refreshing. He was thoughtful, considerate and modest in his dealings with both friends and employees. What a wonderful man.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Richard. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15)

I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)

I am deeply saddened to learn that Ken has passed away. Though I knew of his fight with cancer one always holds out hope.

I hope that in some way his family will find some comfort in the thoughts and prayers of his many friends.

I will never forget the wonderous meals he provided at our annual Colby get togethers in Maine.

Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time the blessing of God's unfailing love will soften the hurt you're feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort and hope that it needs to heal. How? Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain, including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected here on earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this.
Though I did not know your loved one,he sound like a beautiful person. I am touched by your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences.
