Dear Marianne,
I am so sorry to have read that Ellis is gone. To lose a child, at any age, seems unbearable. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I will always remember our trip to the Galapagos Islands in September last year. It was a dream trip for Ellis and he loved photographing the wildlife on Isabella Island. N1MWJ de WY1G .. RIP

I have a lot of fond memories of Ellis from the 80s. I think of him often as I hike with my wife 30 years later. I got to introduce her to Ellis a few times when we came back to the Berkshires to camp. I saw Ellis at the top of Mt. Greylock, the highest elevation of Massachusetts. We were talking about Richmond and Governor Patrick being from Richmond. Ellis said that he told the governor they had a lot in common. They were both from Richmond and they both worked in the highest office in the state. I loved his humor. I'm sorry he ever had to suffer from "New Coke" in the 80s. That was a rough few months, haha.
