Obituary for Richard Louis "Buster" Leveque

Richard Louis “Buster” Leveque, 88, of North Adams, died on Friday January 4, 2019 at Southern Vermont Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on January 24, 1930 a son of the late William & Viola (Blache) Leveque.
Richard attended school in North Adams and Williamstown and was a decorated veteran of the US Army serving during the Korea conflict. He worked at General Cable Co. for several years, and was last employed at the Carmelite Fathers retreat center in Williamstown for 20 years until his retirement in 1995. Following retirement he worked part time for the North Adams Police Dept.
Richard was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary parish and enjoyed golfing. His wife, Annette (Koonz) Leveque died on March 8, 2015. They were married on October 23, 1954 in St. Frances of Assisi Church.
Richard leaves his two daughters, Catherine Leveque of North Adams, MA, Judith Warren of Falmouth, MA; as well as four sons, William and his wife Cheryl Leveque of Falmouth, MA, Richard L. Leveque Jr. and his wife Pamela of Pembrook, NH, Thomas Leveque of North Adams, and David Leveque of West Palm Beach, Florida. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, John Leveque of North Adams and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Leveque, and his sisters Nancy Leveque, Jeannette Beaudreau, and Joyce Sherman

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – WEST Chapel 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247.
