We met Werner sixteen years walking on Mowry Beach throwing sticks to his dog. He loved the adventure of his boats and where they might take him. He thought Lubec looked a lot like Norway loving to explore the islands around Lubec and Campobello, never afraid for adventure. We would motor out around Campobello, find a whale coming right along side of the boat, Ernie would say, Werner what are you going to do? he would just put the boat in neutral and watch it swim very close by. Werner was like a brother to us, he will be missed, Summer Street in Lubec will not be the same without our warm dear friend Werner. Our sympathies to all whoever knew Werner. judy and ernie williams lubec, maine

We will always remember Werner. He was a man that was admired and respected by all that had the privilege of knowing Werner as a friend. His kindness and hospitality and respect for all as well as keen intelligence will be remembered by all that gathered at his home in Stamford. His beloved loyal dog was a favorite with all especially us as dog lovers. Our sympathies to all that loved Werner. David and Joan Hobbs

My deepest sympathies to the Aase family and friends. The Bible offers not only comfort and hope for the family but hope for those who have fallen asleep in death. Jesus spoke of a resurrection in which those in the memorial tombs will hear his Father's voice and come out... As you await this time continue to lean on one another for comfort and support.
