Obituary for Mary Ann Gaskill (Gibbons)

Mary Ann (Gibbons) Gaskill, 86 of Hancock, MA died Sunday January 13, 2019 at her home after suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
She was born in Worcester, MA on March 1, 1932 daughter of Daniel Gibbons and Lottie (Sibley) Gibbons Lillie. She moved to Williamstown at age 8 and graduated from the Williamstown High School.
Mary Ann retired from Bob' Camper and RV Sales which she was the co-founder and operator with her husband. She also worked at New England Telephone for 35 years.
She was a member of the Second Congregational Church. Mary Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband over the years to Ireland, Japan, Australia, Hawaii and several other places. She also attended Lebanon Valley Speedway every week and went to NASCAR races twice a year. She and her husband also enjoyed their trips to the Memory Clinic in Bennington and she liked to read, knit and work on puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Harry Gaskill whom she married on July 9, 1982; and one daughter- Dale Morrison and her husband, Neil of Pownal, VT; two sons- Mark Fowler of Hancock and Gary Fowler of Williamstown. She also leaves four granddaughters- Jackie Costakis, Stacey Fowler, Stephanie Pelletier, and Ashley Pelletier and three great grandchildren- Rowan Costakis, Brock Bascom and Kylee Morrison; two step-children- Mark (Mary) Gaskill of Hancock and Deborah Hiltz of Glens Falls, NY and their children- Madeline Gaskill, Andrew Hiltz, and Alan Hiltz; and great- grandchildren John Hiltz and Hailey Hiltz. Her brother, Leonard Sibley is deceased. The family greatly appreciated the care given by the good folks from Hospice Care in the Berkshires.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of Mary Ann Gaskill’s life, will be Friday January 18, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Second Congregational Church. Burial will be at a later date in Hancock Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires or Western Mass Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
