Joan Irene (Perras) Falco, 84 of North Adams, MA died peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home.
She was born in North Adams on December 23, 1934, a daughter of the late David A. and Yvonne (Racicot) Perras. She attended schools in North Adams, including Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Parochial School.
Joan was first employed at the New England Telephone Company and then Sears and Roebuck and finally Breen’s Florist Shop where she retired after 10 years.
Joan was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church where she and her husband were very active in the life of the church. She was a member of the Rosary Society as well as the St. Elizabeth’s Bazaar Committee. She enjoyed knitting, but mostly spending time with her family. She had a quiet presence and was known for her organization skills.
Joan married her husband, Anthony B. Falco on May 22, 1954 in the Notre Dame Church in North Adams, MA. Mr. Falco predeceased her on August 21, 2012.
Survivors include her four children; a son, Anthony D. Falco and his wife Barbara, of Belmont, VT and daughters, Patricia A Weston of Holliston, MA, MaryLou McKay and her husband, David of Stamford, VT and Yvette Belardo of Schodack, NY. She also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A private funeral service to celebrate the life of Joan Falco will be held at the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall Street in North Adams.
