Obituary for V. Ann Allen

Vellma Ann Allen, 78, of Adams, MA, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She was born in Swampscott, MA on September 4, 1941, daughter of the late Bert P. Allen & Velma M. Jenkins. She was the youngest of 5 children and leaves behind her brothers Courtney Allen and his wife Dilma, Glenn Allen and his wife Marjorie, and Powell Allen and his wife Naomi, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ann attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH and was a member the class of 1959. She was primarily a devoted homemaker to her family and three children.
Her children were her life; she leaves behind her daughters, Betsy Sage and husband Ron Sage of North Adams, MA, and Donna Ingalls Fellows of Springfield, MA. She also leaves behind her grandsons, Andrew Cote and Brady Fellows, as well as step grandchildren, Lindsey LaPine, Courtney Sage, and step great grandchildren, Aurora and Emerson Bullett. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine Rodrick, son Scott Ingalls, grandsons Gregory Cote and Brian Ingalls, and her beloved dog and companion, Ziggy.
Ann was a lively and strong woman with a great sense of humor and a deep faith in God. She was an avid reader and enjoyed conversation, cooking, socializing, and telling stories and jokes. She also always showed great courage and resilience in overcoming loss and adversity in her life. Ann is soaring with the angels now, a bright ball of energy, happy, whole, healthy, free and fully loved. Her ever loving nature and quick wit will be missed.
