Rodney Jay Sumner 54, of Pittsfield died February 25, 2020 as a result of being struck by a train in Piitsfield, MA. He was born in North Adams on February 3, 1966 a son of Charlotte May (Tatro) Sumner and the late Stanley Hoyt Sumner. Rodney graduated from the Turners Falls Technical High School. He loved the outdoors, his cars, dancing, music and long rides in the country. Survivors include his mother Charlotte Sumner. One son Michael A. Sumner and three grandchildren Tyler, Rylee and Logan Sumner. One sister Dawn Powell and four brothers Glen, Rick, Kirk and Clint Sumner. Memorial donations in his memory maybe made to the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA.
