Obituary for Elizabeth M. Patterson

Elizabeth M. (Gingras) Lavigne Patterson, 90, of North Adams, died on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Elizabeth was born in White Plains, NY on October 1, 1929 to the late Dennis and Maude (Chenail) Gingras. She graduated from Drury High School. Elizabeth was employed as an Account Assistant at General Cable for many years, as well as working part time at Chenail’s Farm Fresh in Williamstown. She enjoyed knitting, making puzzles and her dogs.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her first husband Milton Russell Lavigne whom she married on September 3, 1949 and who passed away September 22, 1976. Her second husband, John Walter Patterson, Jr., whom she married on May 7, 1982, passed away on December 6, 2019. She is also predeceased by two sisters Florence Doran and Dorothy Gerry.
Survivors include Elizabeth’s daughter, Deborah (Barry) Sullivan, of Adams, MA and her grandson Michael R. Sullivan and his wife Whitney Stengl. She also leaves her great-grandchildren Harper Sullivan and Olive Sullivan as well as nieces Beverly Henderson and Nancy Trzcinski and her second cousin Pam Shea.
