Norma Jane (Blair) Quimby, 78, of Hancock Road, Hancock, MA died on July 10, 2020 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Norma was born in Pittsfield, MA on June 7, 1942 a daughter of the late Robert Grey & Emma Elizabeth (Whitman) Blair. She attended Hancock School and graduated from New Lebanon High School. Norma then obtained her teaching degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Norma was a member of the Second Congregational Church and a member of the Dorcas Society. She was an active in the 4H Club, Hancock Volunteer Fire Dept where she was the first EMT. She was one of the founding members of the Williamstown Farmers Market.
Norma was a teacher in the public school system for 42 years at Hancock School, where she was also a former principal. Norma also ran the Blair family farm, in Hancock with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Quimby, sons, John C. Quimby, Jeffrey Quimby and his wife Melissa. She also leaves her grandsons, Justin, Joshua and Jacob Quimby of Hancock; and great granddaughters, Alana Quimby and Emma Quimby. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Grey Blair.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Norma Quimby will take place at a later date at the Second Congregational Church in Williamstown. Memorial donations are suggested for the Norma Jane Quimby Memorial Scholarship through the funeral home.
