Henry George Greenleaf, 85 of North Adams, MA died Saturday July 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pittsfield, MA on July 15, 1935, a son of the late Henry Joseph Greenleaf and Gertrude Esther (Brown) Greenleaf Pangburn. He attended local schools.
Henry was a veteran of the US Army. He worked as a self-employed finish carpenter for many years until his retirement. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing and crocheting. He was a member of the NRA.
Survivors include one daughter- Kelly M. (Leo) Amaral of Clarksburg, MA and one son- Henry W. Greenleaf (Leeann Walker) of North Adams, MA. He also leaves nine grandchildren including Brittany M. Greenleaf, Hailey N. Greenleaf, Tehya Gazaille, Jonathan Oliver, Thomas Oliver, Gus Ferreira, Brandon DiGennaro, Matthew DiGennaro, and Dakota Deschaine; and three great grandchildren including Colt Ferreira, Arien Oliver, and Luna Ferreira; two sisters- Eva Olsen of AZ and Mary Mailhot of Springfield, MA; one brother- William Greenleaf of VA; a sister in law- Marcia Greenleaf of Pittsfield; stepsister- Rosemary Lasher of Nassau, NY and nieces and nephews and cousins. Henry was also a positive role model to many local children including James Blair, James Kennedy, Joe Williams and Melissa LeSage who will always hold a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Greenleaf, a sister, Joan Pfiffer; one niece, Tammy Keyes; his stepfather George Pangburn, step brother Edward Pangburn; and his brother William R. Greenleaf who died as an infant.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Henry Greenleaf will be Monday July 27, 2020 at 6:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
