Donald Roy Pelkey Jr. 57, of North Adams, MA died on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the North Campus of the Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Sharon, CT a son of Rev. Donald Roy Pelkey and Patricia (Twing) Pelkey. He attended schools in Westfield, MA.
Donnie was an avid music lover and guitarist and loved to fish. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and contagious cackle.
Survivors include his parents, as well as his two daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Bliss and Susan Rudnitski all of Pittsfield. He leaves three grandsons; Mason and Maxdyn Daigneault and Parker Bliss and a step daughter, Trisha Canfield. He also leaves a sister, Trudy (Steve) Mazza of Westfield, three brothers; Rev. Gene (Kelly) Pelkey and Keith Pelkey of Westfied and Rev. John (Denene) Pelkey of Lee and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Donald Roy “Spike” Pelkey III and a step son, Jason Bressette.
FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a private family memorial service for Donald Roy Pelkey, Jr. For those who wish to hear the service you may do so outside the New Life Worship Center on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2p.m, 118 Meadow Street, Westfield, MA. The service will also be streamed live on Facebook. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 12-1:30 PM at the Worship Center. A memorial motorcycle ride will be held that Saturday morning, anyone who wishes to join can meet at the New Life Worship Center at 9a.m. Donations can be made to the Louison House in care of the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Homes, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams, MA 01247
