It is with great sadness that Peggy-Anne (Deeb) Oleskiewicz 73, of Williamstown died suddenly Friday October 9, 2020 at her home. She was born in Troy, NY. on January 1, 1947 a daughter of the late Gordon and Amy (Smith) Deeb. She graduated from the former St. Joseph High School in North Adams and also attended Bennington College. Peggy was a proud owner and operator with her brother Gordon of Pedrin's Dairy Bar in North Adams. She was a very generous and caring person who volunteered for many local organizations in the area to help provide holiday meals to the public. Peggy enjoyed crafts, sewing, bowling, winning money at the casinos, traveling and her late night Lifetime movies. Peggy will be forever remembered by her husband Allan Oleskiewicz, her 2 daughters Melissa McCauley (Charles McCauley) and Courtney Oleskiewicz. Two grandchildren, Ashley Reo (Alex Reo), Christopher McCauley (Corie Noel). Peggy also leaves behind her great-grandson Sean Patrick McCauley; great-grandson Reo expected January 2021, her brother Gordon Deeb (Susan Deeb) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dea Lynn Deeb who died in 1995. Peggy is now happily resting with her late daughter Jennifer Miller-Davis.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Peggy-Anne Oleskiewicz will be celebrated Thursday October 15, 2020 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will take place at a later date. My deepest condolences to the Oleskiewicz family. Peggy's passing has left a hole in our lives that will not be easy to heal from. I take comfort at this moment knowing that she will continue to live on through those she loved and who loved her along the way. In her 73 years, she shaped so many lives and made the world so much brighter. Simply put: she was an irreplaceable woman, mother, and friend. I will be forever grateful to have known her for as long as I did. Thank you, Peggy for giving me my first job and for teaching me so many valuable lessons in life. May angles lead you in...

Love always,
Gina Gavazzi Shea

Gordy, Melissa and extended family. I don't have words to explain what 50 years of friendship was like. So many things were done together. So many things we shared about our lives. Right now it is hard to think about anything but her. I will miss her always but find a little comfort in talking to her Friday morning. My thoughts are with all of you at this time but one thing I know for sure if nothing else makes sense right now is that she loved her family literally with all her heart. God bless you all. Sherry
