Obituary for Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Randall (Scholz)

Elizabeth Louise Scholz Randall passed peacefully at home with her family October 15th. Betty would have turned 96 the 30th of this month. She is predeceased by her husband Herbert A. Randall, her sister and brother, and two children.
She leaves a daughter Judy Oleson, her husband Ole, their two children and a son Roger Randall, his wife, Donna (Bryant), their 2 daughters and their spouses, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Herb and Betty were avid square dancers for many years. They were active members of the Methodist Church in Cheshire. Their dining room table was surrounded once a week with friends who played very rowdy games of cards!
Betty was a loving mother and devoted wife. She enjoyed spending her time being around others, especially her family. She was always very thoughtful of others. She was a very knowledgeable, self-disciplined, creative, and a resourceful person. Betty was very industrious, using every moment to its fullest. She taught homemaking at Cheshire Elementary School. She was especially proud to have earned a degree and continue teaching while raising her family. She went to North Adams State and then taught at Mark Hopkins in North Adams until her retirement.
There will be a private cemetery service with immediate members of the family. Betty requested that donations be made to the Cheshire Fire Department of Cheshire, MA in her memory in care of Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
