Obituary for William F. ""Pete"" Murach

William F. “Pete” Murach, 89 of Adams, MA died on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, MA. He was born in Adams, MA on August 8, 1931, a son of Polish immigrants, Stanley Murach Sr. and Marcella (Jurczak) Murach. He attended schools in Adams and graduated Adams High School. He was a decorated veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed at the Pownal Tanning Company and retired after over twenty years of employment. Before that he worked for Jarisch Box Company.
Mr. Murach was a communicant of the Parish of Pope John Paul in Adams. He enjoyed sports and especially the Boston Red Sox and the Denver Broncos. He married his wife, the former Elaine Wilk in 1964. She predeceased him on February 15, 2005.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, including Bonnie Murach Anderson of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and one sister; Stanley Jr., Joseph, John, Chester, Casimer, Alex, Frank, Steven, Floyd, Anthony Murach and Helene Frydel
FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service for William “Pete” Murach will be held at 11:00a.m. on Monday, November 16 at the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST Chapel, 521 West Main Street North Adams. A calling hour will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Southview Cemetery.
