Obituary for Wayne Michael McConnell
Wayne Michael McConnell, 83, of Dalton, MA died on Friday December 25, 2020 at Albany Medical Center.
He was born on in North Adams, MA September 17, 1937 a son of the late Henry and June (Morrisey) McConnell. Wayne attended North Adams Schools and graduated from Drury High School.
He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was last employed by the Herald Progress Newspaper in Ashland, VA. After retirement he was a van driver for North Adams Public Schools and also worked at Stop & Shop in North Adams.
His wife, Helen (McAvoy) McConnell preceded him in death.. He leaves two sons- Gary Michael McConnell and his wife, Leslie and Todd Alan McConnell, all of North Adams. He also leaves several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister- Faye Bush of Pownal, VT and nieces and nephews. A brother, Bruce McConnell is deceased.
