Obituary for Alfred A. Ricci

Alfred A. Ricci, 98 of Pittsfield, MA died Sunday January 3, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Pittsfield, MA on February 18, 1922, a son of Thomas and Concetta (Colella) Ricci. He attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1939. Alfred was a decorated veteran of World War II and served as a sergeant with the medical detachment of the 2nd Armored Division in Europe.
He was employed by the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for many years until his retirement in 1984. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Church. Alfred was a member of the VFW in Pittsfield and the Italian American Club. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan.
His wife was Mary (Penna) Ricci who died on March 14, 2015. They were married on October 26, 1946. Survivors include one sister- Margaret Polidoro of Pittsfield and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his sisters- Susan Parise, Mary Rizzo and twins- Helen Rossi and Rose Sarocco and his brothers- Albert Ricci, Joseph Ricci, Patrick Ricci and Harry Ricci.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services at the cemetery for Alfred Ricci will be private for the family but a live-stream of the service at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Joseph's Cemetery will be available by going to the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes' Facebook Page on Thursday January 7, 2021 at 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
