Obituary for Patricia A. Drawec (Mahoney)
Patricia Mahoney Drawec, 71 of Pittsfield, MA died Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Hillcrest Commons.
She was born in Miami, FL on June 1, 1949, a daughter of Daniel Lawrence Mahoney and Geraldine (Edick) Millis Mahoney. She graduated from SUNY Oneonta and received her Master's Degree in Education from Westfield State College.
Patricia was a Reading Specialist and taught in the Lee Public School system until her retirement in 2004, due to health issues. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Patricia and her late husband, James enjoyed collecting antiques and attended many auctions and flea markets. She also enjoyed gardening.
She was the widow of James Lawrence Drawec who died on October 16, 2020. They were married on October 4, 1969. She is survived by her sister, Jean Akins of North Rose, NY; her brother- Richard Millis of VT and her brother in law- Donald Drawec of Savoy. She also leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and her beloved cat, "Kitterina" or "Kitty". She was predeceased by her mother and father in law- Sonia and Clarence Drawec and her sister in law, Rosemarie Drawec.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Patricia Drawec will be held on Friday January 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA.
