Obituary for John Joseph Weber Jr.

John Joseph Weber Jr., 83 of Dalton, MA died Thursday January 7, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in New York City, NY on November 25, 1937, a son of John Joseph and Mary (Kopac) Weber. He attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1957. John also completed an x-ray technician program in Saranac Lake, NY.
He married his high school sweetheart Virginia (Ginger) A. DeAngelus on August 16th, 1958.
John and Ginger moved to Pompano Beach, FL where they started their family. He was employed as the chief x-ray technician at North Broward County Hospital in Pompano Beach. He then returned to Dalton in 1972 and worked as an X-Ray technician until establishing the Yankee Shopper, shopping guide, which he operated from 1976 until his retirement in 1996.
He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. John was a private pilot and enjoyed flying with his 2 sons. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). John also enjoyed ham radios, motorcycles, vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger and two sons- Mark J. (Diane) Weber of Dalton and William A. Weber of Dalton. He also leaves five grandchildren and their spouses including Victoria Witherell (Jim), Amanda King (Lucas), Lindsey Caola (Matt), William R. Weber (Shaina) and Zachary Weber (Gabriel); nine great grandchildren including Jacob, Marco, Landon, Caroline, Layla, Brandon, Rylie, Scarlet, and Vanessa; one sister- Beverly Cleary (Bob) of Middlebury, CT; one brother- Michael P. Weber of Pittsfield, MA and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for John Weber will be celebrated Thursday January 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Church in Dalton. A live-stream of the service will be available at www.saintagnescc.com. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. Private calling hours for the family will be held at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA.
