Obituary for Evelyn Rae Stalker (Oakes)
Evelyn Rae (Oakes) Stalker, 90 of North Adams, MA died Saturday January 9, 2021 at her home.
She was born in North Adams, MA on October 22, 1930, a daughter of William Ray and Grayce (Bishop) Oakes. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1948.
Evelyn worked at the Boston Store and for England Brothers for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Adams. Evelyn enjoyed puzzles and Bingo.
She was the widow of John Robert Stalker who died on October 1, 1997. They were married on July 8, 1950. Survivors include one daughter- Juliann (Wayne) Duval of Boca Raton, FL and one son- Alan Robert Stalker of Clarksburg, MA. She also leaves her grandson- Justin Duval of Littleton, CO; one sister- June Foster of Northampton, MA; and two nieces. Her brother, Roger Oakes is deceased.
