Obituary for Eva Barber

Eva King Barber a long time Williamstown resident, passed away in Winter Haven, Florida on January 13, 2021. She was born on August 27, 1924 in Vermont and attended schools in North Pownal before moving to 1181 Hoosac Road in Williamstown. She resided there in the home her husband Norman, helped build for sixty two years until she moved to Florida with her daughter and son-in-law in 2016. She was the youngest child of Edward King and Georgiana Bombardier King and the last remaining sibling of her family. Her husband of 62 years, Norman, passed away in 2015. Before her marriage, Eva worked as a seamstress in the Bennington, Vermont spinning mills. Once she moved to Williamstown, she was primarily a homemaker and mother. Her greatest joy in her life was her family, and she loved them with all of her heart. Upon moving to Florida, she enjoyed the many stores to shop, the array of restaurants in which to eat, and most especially going to venues to watch her great grandson perform in dance competitions. She leaves behind her only child, Linda Beaudreau and son-in-law, Thomas Beaudreau of Winter Haven, Florida with whom she made her home. She also leaves her two granddaughters, Brooke Huszcza (Michael) of Scotch Plains, N.J. and Aimee Rogers (Kevin) of Winter Haven , Florida. Her five great grandsons Kyle, Nate, Brendan, Brian, and Patrick, all thought she was pretty special at age 96 and a niece Nancy Copeland. According to her final wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private graveside service will take place in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery.
